Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has instructed the finance minister not to implement the strict policy to bring mobile phones to Nepalis who have returned from abroad.

Prime Minister's Press Coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma informed that the instructions were given to not implement the new strictures and to allow the old ongoing process to continue.

Nepalis working abroad have protested using the hashtag 'No Remittance', saying that the government is going to charge 18 percent tax even if they bring a mobile phone from abroad. They started a 'No Remittance' campaign on social media to stop sending money through remittance.
